Learning to Listen

“Learning to listen for God’s quiet but clear answers is important…How we need to cultivate a listening heart.”

God prepares us to receive His will for our lives. He allows us to recognize His leading, as He whispers to our hearts.  God wants us to receive what we need to hear, and realize when He has spoken.

We cannot hear whispers unless we are quiet, still, and available to receive the expressions of communication which are meant to be understood. Often God waits to speak to us, but sometimes we are too busy to hear.

God speaks through the Bible, through others and through our circumstances. He speaks to us through his Holy Spirit, and allows us to recognize when we have come before His presence of peace.

God shows His will in the quiet moments, when life cannot interrupt the stillness of our silent souls. In this time of reflection, we begin to understand what He is trying to say. We trust in Him, as we prepare ourselves to follow His lead, and discover what He has planned for the glorious day ahead.

Dear Heavenly Father, Help us seek you with a listening heart. Allow us to hear what You will whisper, when our souls has been quieted by your greatness. Fill us with Your love, and help us recognize when You have spoken.  Amen
