The Ending Chapter of Reward...
I love books, but seldom find moments to read. When I do relax and absorb a favorite novel, I’m often amazed at my determination to keep reading. I enjoy discovering what will happen next. It’s hard to put down a book, when I'm drawn toward the ending chapter of reward.
God fills us with desire to know what will happen next in our lives. He lovingly allows opportunities for us to write pages of our own. He speaks through our words and provides what will be written, as we learn to trust in Him and anticipate the plans He has for our future.
God prepares us to do His will, in His time and for His purpose. He inspires us, as we become available to receive His gifts of love. It pleases God when we serve Him with a heart that is determined to lovingly follow His lead.
There are chapters of determination in each one of us. They are written pages of experience which will allow us to recognize God is in control. He provides us with desire to understand where we will arrive, and He guides us as we choose how to get there.
We cannot worry about the pages which wait to be written. God already knows exactly how they will be filled. He wants us to be persistent, as we learn to serve Him with a grateful heart, and trust in His provisions for our lives.
As God allows us to be drawn toward His will, remember He sees us as an open book. God knows everything about us. He prepares us to pen the pages of our lives and trust that the ending chapters will bring reward. But there is much to be done as we consider how the pages will be filled.
If we seek Him with all of our hearts and trust in the One who has written our Book of Life, we will be able to recognize there will be chapters of reward along the way. Each new experience will help us understand how God reads between the lines of our lives and prepares us to be led by His greatness.
Even if we don't know what will happen next, God does...He wants us to trust in Him and allow Him to lead us. He is God! He can do great things in our lives, even if we can't begin to understand how the final chapter will unfold...
God is near and He loves YOU,

It is human nature to worry, or at least wonder, about what will happen next. It is hard sometimes to not know......even if we trust God.
ReplyDeleteThe hardest part is wanting something to happen but not seeing any progress in that direction. It can be very disheartening.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding."

ReplyDeleteYou make a good point. Too often we think trusting is easy. I think of Job in the Old Testament and how long it took him to see things from God's perspective. Such turmoil he felt in his heart, but he trusted God to be God.
Thank you for reminding us that as humans, we are not naturally "programmed" to trust. :)
God bless you. You, too, Nan. Thank you for your words which make us think.

You're right, it is human nature to worry and wonder about the future God will provide for our lives. It helps to know we have a Father who brings perfect peace to our weary hearts, and reminds us He is in control of all things.
ReplyDeleteIsaiah 40:31 is one of my favorite scriptures. "but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
When we pray and ask God to carry us, it's important that we truly believe He will. In His time and for His great purpose, God prepares us for His will and teaches us how to trust, even when it's not always easy.
God bless you friends...
