When Walls Are Built
Walls provide shelter and protect us from the outside elements. They are built to provide strength and define our space of purpose. When walls are built, we feel protected from the outside world, and cradled in a cocoon which holds us in one place.
It can be comforting to live inside walls of space we create for ourselves, but often we don’t feel content. We hide behind emotions and consider others cannot see the heart of what’s inside.
God sees what’s behind the walls we build. He lovingly opens our hearts to begin to realize there is something missing. He teaches us how to tear down the walls which have never made room for joy to be invited inside.
God can teach us to trust in Him. He can show us we are worthy of His grace, and remind us we can do great things. God can tear down walls we have managed to build around ourselves and remind us there is nothing which can separate us from His love.
He is near and He loves YOU.
Nan
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39 NIV
You are right......we build walls to insulate ourselves from pain but find it is more painful to be alone......with ourselves.
ReplyDeleteGod has torn down the walls we build that separate us from Him. He enters in, armed with unfailing love, and captures our hearts.
What nice thought...Yes, He does enter in, and arm us with His unfailing love. Our God is powerful and mighty. He can remove the walls and show us what we have been missing. God bless you. I'm happy to see you here. Have a day that makes you smile. :)
