Seasons of Purpose
Cold days of winter will soon arrive in the Midwest. It’s hard to prepare for them, when the heart is not ready to welcome what’s to come.
The Bible says, “ To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven…” Ecclesiastes 3. God is in charge of the weather, and we are in charge of accepting what He purposefully creates.
Sometimes God makes days which seem perfect. They are blue sky days of sunshine good. And, sometimes He provides dark sky days of clouded gray. Sadly, these often become days which consume us, and fill us with weathered thoughts of frustration and despair.
God sees each day as perfect. He offers us His gift of light and allows us to use it for His will. Weather does not prepare us to embrace what’s ahead. God prepares us to choose how we will find purpose in our days, as we walk with Him.
God provides seasons for His great plans. He uses each one to set the stage for what is to come. Only God can fill our hearts with the ability to embrace what He will provide, in His time and for His great purpose.
God’s golden gifts of light will warm and prepare us to welcome what He will choose for us to enjoy. The sun will shine with greater reward, if we patiently wait for cold, dark days to disappear. But, we must trust in the One who will shine His light, even on the darkest days of our weathered doubt.
God is near, and He loves YOU,
Nan
