“Finally beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” Philippians 4:8 NRSV
Life creates challenge. We become involved in hectic routine and often feel overwhelmed. Our minds become clouded with negative thoughts which rob us of opportunity to discover God's perfect peace. But, when we allow ourselves to be led by the Almighty, He tenderly changes our hearts. He opens our eyes to embrace what is worthy of praise.
God guides our thoughts. When we have learned to humbly seek Him, He
nurtures the course of our lives. He fills us with opportunity to
recognize His presence of peace and helps us find strength in His
holiness. As we trust in Him, He teaches where to find content. He helps
us focus on what is right and guides us in His Word. He helps us find
reason to resolve our minds and shows us how to put into practice what
will honor Him.
When we have been led to a prayer of praise, joy will follow! In peace that passes all understanding, God will bless our lives. He will arm us with everything we need to step ahead. And, He will show us why He is worthy of our praise.
Dear God, Thank you for helping us learn to trust. Forgive us when we become consumed in thoughts which lead us far away from You. Fill us with desire to examine our hearts, so we will think about what is pleasing to You. And, guide us where we will learn to understand why You are worthy of our praise…Amen
