If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

God waits for us to acknowledge His presence. He gives opportunity to choose whether or not we submit to Him. Our mighty Creator of heaven and earth longs for us to seek Him and turn from our selfish ways. But, some will not recognize His authority. They will turn from the One who has the power to heal and restore our land. 

God hears the prayers of our hearts when we humbly seek Him; recognize the errors of our ways and understand calm comes from repentance. He restores broken hearts and provides the way for us to learn about forgiveness. He answers our prayers and arms us with peace that passes all understanding. And, he helps us examine our lives, so we will be more like Jesus; compassionate, loving toward one another and capable of honoring the Father in the way we choose to live our lives. 

We will all fall short of the glory of God and need to be reminded, there is strength in the offering of His love. In devastating times of destruction, we will tire of the evils in this world. But, God will STRENGTHEN us! He will remind us what must be done to bring hope in times of trouble. And, if we prayerfully seek Him, live in His WORD and choose to honor Him, He will fulfill His promise to His people and we will learn to love Him more…

Dear God, Thank you for Your presence in our lives. Forgive us when we forget to honor Your authority over heaven and earth. We will seek You with all of our hearts and humbly examine our lives. And, in moments to love Your more, we will gratefully remember what must be done, so You will renew our hearts and heal our troubled nation. Amen
