Christ longs to reach us. He delights in opportunity to dwell in the hearts of those who find strength in the presence of His peace. He prepares us to recognize who’s in charge of our days and readies us to remember who will handle the moments of our lives. 

When we pray, God opens our eyes and shows Himself in ways we never could have imagined. He helps us remember how very much we are loved. And, when we forget there is strength in His holiness, God finds the way to humble our hearts, so we will feel the power of His love. 

Prayer is more than communicating our requests. It is valued time with our Creator, our loving Father who already has a plan for our days. It gives opportunity to ask for forgiveness and provides the way for us to offer unending praise! 

When God opens our eyes to another day of purpose, He gives us the gift of living one more day. And, that is a reason enough to give thanks and begin our prayers with praise. God is good! His faithfulness endures forever. Yes, let the morning bring us word of His unfailing love!

Dear God, Thank you for morning, which sets the stage for what’s to come. You arm us with everything we need, before we’re called to rise. Prepare us for what will happen next in our lives and give us strength, while we wait for You to handle all things. Amen
