“And if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.” Isaiah 58:10 

Compassion grows, when we learn to recognize the needs of others. Sharing kindness nourishes the soul. God provides the way for us to be reminded of the depth of His love. He fills us with great purpose and teaches how to love one another. 

God provides the way to reach the needs of others. He prepares us to share what has already been given. He rewards a giving heart and honors the love of our faithfulness. He takes the selfish side of want and tenderly transforms us. 

God will guide and provide opportunities to serve Him with a giving heart. He will help us understand; joy will fill us with great purpose, when we take the time to care. 

Dear God, Thank you for reminding us to be concerned about the needs of others. As we learn to reach those who need us in their lives, help us develop a desire to show compassion. We will serve You with our hearts, so others will see how very much they are loved by You. Amen
