Shout for joy to the LORD, everyone on earth. Worship the LORD with gladness. Come to him with songs of joy. Know that the LORD is God. He made us, and we belong to him. We are his people. We are the sheep belonging to his flock. Give thanks as you enter the gates of his temple. Give praise as you enter its courtyards. Give thanks to him and praise his name. The LORD is good. His faithful love continues forever. It will last for all time to come. Psalm 100 NIRV

God is worthy of our thanks. Our loving Father dwells in the praise of His children. When we give thanks to Him, He provides reward for our lives. He rejoices in the heart of our praise. And, when we speak in thanks to the One who is worthy, He draws us closer to the power of His love.

Praising God helps restore our relationship with Him. He delights in our praise and rejoices in the glory of our love. Sometimes, we forget we’re dependent on Him to live our lives. We try to “do it on our own” and forget how it feels to be led. But, God gives grace in time of need and humbles our hearts to recognize we can’t live without Him. He helps us examine our hearts and understand why we need the Savior. He grows our faith and guides us where we learn how it feels to be grateful in ALL circumstances.

When we stand in awe of our Creator and humbly thank Him for ALL things, peace will fill us with calming reassurance that we need. God will transform our outlook on life and restore us to an attitude of praise. He will remind us why He is worthy of our love and help us never forget, we were created to praise Him. 

Dear God, Thank you for Your presence in our lives. Forgive us when we try to live on our own and forget who’s in charge of our days. You are worthy of our love. Help us have a better understanding of who you are, so we will examine our lives and recognize You are deserving of our praise. Amen
