"Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the LORD is God. It is he, who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations." Psalm 100:1-5

Often we don’t embrace a heart of thanksgiving. We seek God and ask Him to provide for our needs. But, in missed moments of opportunity, we neglect to begin our prayers with praise. 

God is worthy of our love. He shows us how to recognize His presence in our lives. He opens our eyes to welcome each new day and loves us enough to say, “Keep on going…”

Why would we not praise God for His daily gifts of purpose? Our loving Father provides everything we need. We must never become too busy to lift our eyes to Him, humble our hearts and simply say, “I just want to thank you Lord.”

Dear God, THANK YOU for waking us to another day of purpose. Help us remember to begin our prayers with thanks to You. We will trust in Your power of Your strength, as we’re lifted to Your loving arms of holiness and readied to rise. Help us never become too busy to recognize why we should always be grateful. Amen
