Here is what I am commanding you to do. Be strong and brave. Do not be afraid. Do not lose hope. I am the Lord your God. I will be with you everywhere you go. Joshua 1:9 NIRV

When disaster comes, we try to comprehend the tragedies of life and pray for mercy and strength. We allow fear to rob us of calm. But, God restores our souls. He helps us find peace in the power of His plan. And, if we are faithful, He provides courage in time of need. 

       

Sometimes, we question the intention of those who cause suffering. But, God reminds us; the day will come when suffering will cease and He will judge all evil. (Isaiah 13:11) He shines the light of His love and lifts us from darkness, when we need to be held by Him.     

God never promised we would NOT suffer. But, He promises to be with us when we do. Our loving Father reminds us; the future is uncertain, but His love for us is not. He will reveal His will when we recognize who’s in charge of our days. We must surrender our worries, trust in Him, believe in the power of His greatness and NEVER forget who will handle ALL things.

Dear God, Thank you for your presence in our lives. You demonstrate Your strength, when we seek You with all of our hearts and witness the love of Your faithfulness. Comfort those who are suffering. Teach us to trust in You, so we will be guided by peace and prepared to understand how to put our hope in You. Amen
