Then Jesus declared,
"I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and
whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. John 6: 35 NIV
Most
of us will never know what it means to starve. We have food on our tables to
sustain us. But often, we consume only mere morsels of spiritual crumbs and
consider how empty our hearts have become. We hunger for peace and calm in a world that is hurting. We hunger for good
health, and a spirit of content. We hunger for purpose and realize we are
hungry for so much more…
Jesus satisfies hunger in those who want to be fed. He prepares us to receive nourishment for our souls, when we put our trust in Him. He waits to be invited to the table, so we can be filled with the loving gift of grace.
God satisfies the hunger of our hearts and provides the perfect peace we need. When we have been nourished by His love, we will begin to understand how it feels to embrace a grateful heart of content. He will fill us with His love. He will satisfy our hunger and guide us to the presence of His peace. And, He will help us embrace a Spirit of thanksgiving, when we have humbled our hearts to understand how it feels to be faithfully full.

God,
Thank you for all that You provide. You fill us full of everything we need and nourish
the heart of our faithfulness. Teach us to trust, while we feed on Your word,
commune with You and honor You with all of our love. And, never let us forget
why we should always, always be grateful. Amen
