But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

God requires us to wait, but sometimes, it’s hard to be patient. We’re anxious for prayers to be answered and have a need to know what happens next in our lives. But, God remains faithful. He covers  wounds of wonder. He bandages us with love and helps us find strength when we learn how it feels to trust.  

God doesn't require us to wait on Him. He asks us to wait WITH Him. And, while we’re cradled in care, He shows us who is working in our lives. He holds us close and invites us to remain for a while. He nurtures our faithfulness so we will understand; it doesn’t matter how long we wait…   

God WILL prepare us for what’s to come. We won’t have to figure out everything on our own. He will arm us with peace and renew our strength. He will handle ALL things and provide for our days. We must never question how long it will take. God will place HOPE in our hearts and bless us in the timing of His will, only when He is ready.     

God, Thank you for moments when You demonstrate the depth of Your love. Forgive us when we forget who’s in charge of our days. We will trust in You and learn what it means to be patient. And, we will faithfully wait for what has already been planned for our lives. Amen
