Jesus spoke again to the people. He said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12
There is a gift of light waiting for those who choose to be warmed by its glow. It shines through moments of darkness and was found in a manger long, long ago. God’s love prepares us to be warmed by more than what the world can offer. Jesus is the light of the world. He provides peace, as we prepare our hearts for Christmas and wait to be led where heavenly HOPE is found.
God provides the light. And, when we are led by the Maker of greatness,
we learn how it feels to leave the darkness behind. He fills us with
strength to make us stronger and cradles us in care, while we learn to
totally trust. His light continues to shine as we seek Him with ALL of
our hearts.
God sent Christ to the world, so He would experience the heart of humanity and lead us to Him. Jesus opens our hearts to discover Christmas peace. He shows us how to focus, even on the darkest days of doubt. And, when we need to be reminded there is strength in His love, He demonstrates mercy and grace. He nurtures our faith and prepares us for what’s to come...
There is a gift of light waiting to shine on those who welcome Jesus. We won’t have to dwell in darkness if we surrender our fear, turn our eyes to the One who saves and humbly allow ourselves to be held by the Savior. God will lead us by His will and help us remember; the SON will shine with great reward, if we ready our hearts to gratefully receive Him. ♥
Dear God, Thank you for strength which comes from You. Warm us with the glow of Your holiness and fill us with great purpose as we remain faithful. We will love You with all of our hearts and embrace the light of Your love. And, we will gratefully remember to simply say, “Thank you for Christmas!” Amen
