After weeks of preparation, Christmas arrives and moves us through a very busy season. But, when all is said and done, there’s often an empty feeling when it’s over and the heart no longer anticipates what’s to come. 

God sent His Son to the world for MORE than one day of recognition. In hectic moments, we often forget He prepares us to receive Him EVERY day of our lives. Jesus came to bring hope, peace and joy to our hearts. God provided a miracle when Jesus came to earth! Only He can fill the emptiness of our hearts and remind us why we don’t have to say “goodbye” to Christmas.

God provides the way for us to understand how to anticipate the gift of Jesus. He helps us find JOY in the presence of His peace. He guides us toward greatness, when we choose to follow Him. Only He can lead us to the Father and help us understand; the gift of grace isn’t found on our own.  

JOY is not found under the Christmas Tree. It is not packaged for only one day to make us feel joyful. The JOY of the Lord is everlasting. His gift to the world is offered to those who choose to receive it. EVERY day of life will bring opportunity for God to fill us with anticipation of what’s to come. But, we must TRUST in His provisions for our lives.

Why are we feeling sad to say “goodbye” to Christmas? God knows what the heart needs to feel joyful. HE is in charge of our days. He has a plan for our lives. We must seek Him with all of our hearts, turn from our sinful ways and choose to gratefully love Him more…

Dear God, Thank you for the seasons of our lives. You calm us with the presence of Your peace. Help us learn to be still, so we will recognize how to welcome Your greatest gift to the world and find joy EVERY single day of our lives.  Amen
