Christ longs to reach us. He wants to dwell in the hearts of those who find strength in the presence of His peace. He prepares us to recognize who’s in charge of our days and readies us to remember who WILL handle all things.

When we pray, God shows Himself in ways we never could have imagined. He helps us remember we are loved. And, if we forget what comes from His holiness, He finds the way to humble our hearts, so we will recognize the power of His love.

Prayer is more than communicating our requests. It is valued time with our Creator, the loving Father who plans our days. It provides opportunity to seek forgiveness and leads us to the One who saves. It allows us to offer praise and opens our hearts to the presence of His peace.

When God opens our eyes to another day of purpose, He provides the gift of living one more day. And, that is a reason enough to give thanks. Before we rise, we should give God the time He deserves. He is good! His faithfulness endures forever.

Let the morning bring word of His unfailing love and open our hearts to His will. God will show us where to go, if we put our trust in Him.

Dear God, Thank you for opening our eyes for what’s to come. You arm us with everything we need, before we’re called to rise. Prepare us for what will happen next in our lives and give us strength while we wait on You. Amen
