I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16: 33 

Sometimes, we think about the days which were simple and serene. We long to revisit the time when life was easy and calm. We pray for “normal” to return and forget God has reason for His timing in our lives. 

When we're tried by troubles, Jesus reminds us we’re not alone. He leads us through the ups and downs and helps us find His peace. He pulls us to His arms of strength and cradles us in care. He helps us recognize why we need to be held, and comforts us by the power of His love. He prepares us to experience what’s to come... 

Perfect moments will NOT last forever. If we always experience content, we will never feel the need for our Savior. We will not recognize how pain and brokenness humble the heart to receive God’s FOREVER love. 

There will be trials and tribulations. But, we must take heart! We must not fear! There is peace in Christ, by the blood of the cross. He will shelter us in the mercy of His care. And, grace will prepare us to find HOPE in the power of His everlasting love. 

Dear God, Thank you for opening our eyes to feel the power of Your strength. We will trust You with all of our hearts and welcome the love of Jesus. Even in the midst of trials, we will learn to embrace the gift of a grateful heart and find HOPE in the promise of Your PERFECT peace. Amen
