Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD. Psalm 31:24 NIV
In times of trouble, we need to be reminded God is with us. He takes care of our needs and holds us in the promise of His everlasting love. He reminds us of His presence in our lives and helps us understand there's a plan for our days.
God
prepares us to serve Him. He opens our hearts to recognize His guiding
in our lives. He leads us where HOPE is found in the strength of His
holiness and helps us find COURAGE while we’re covered in calm.
HOPE is something we need. It is defined as "the desire and search for a good future." Consider the young woman, Mary who faithfully trusted God had a plan for her life. He chose her to carry His Son, believing she was the best mother for Jesus.
Mary must have been frightened and weary as God revealed His plan and prepared her to accept His will. But, she faithfully responded, “I am the Lord’s servant. May it be as you have said.” (Luke 1:38) It would have been easy for her to reject His will, but she was faithful to BELIEVE God would provide. She obeyed and TRUSTED the One who sent her.
God longs for us to acknowledge His presence as we travel with Him. He patiently prepares us to love Him with a servant’s heart of HOPE. He calls us to do great things and wants us to obey. He gives strength to fulfill His will for our lives and provides the way for us to be blessed.
God took care of Mary and He will take good care of us! He will provide HOPE as we journey with Him. And, He will give us strength to gratefully remember; He already knows where we will arrive.
Dear God, Thank you for Your everlasting love. Thank you for Jesus and the trusting mother who fulfilled Your will. Help us remember who’s in charge of ALL things. Open our hearts and prepare us for what’s to come, so we will "occupy hopefulness" and faithfully TRUST in YOU. Amen
