It's fun to visit the beach and listen to the sound of the waves. Rushing water pulls us toward the sand and we become aware of God‘s awesome power, as we witness the flowing strength of His mighty creation.
Sand castles are built
by labors of love, but often they’re constructed where the tide arrives. They are swiftly destroyed by waves which are a powerful force! They have the
strength to push us from where we stand and move us toward sinking
sand.
God reminds us to consider how we will choose to build our lives. He supplies what we need to create towers of strength that will withstand the tides of time. But, we must be willing to allow Him to help us form a foundation we can build on. And we must be willing to obey when He shows us where to build.
God will guide us. He will show us how to build our lives on solid ground. And if the tides of tribulation surround us, He will carry us to the safety of the shore. He will help us handle mighty waves of worry, so they will NOT knock us down.
God will help us rebuild the sandcastles of strength in our lives, if we trust in Him and allow Him to show us how…
Dear God, sometimes we work hard to build towers of strength. We become frustrated when they don't withstand the trials and tribulations in our lives. Help us remember to build our lives on You. YOU are the solid foundation we need to support us. We will put our hope in You and never forget who will keep us anchored, if waves of worry try to knock us down. Amen
