“The Lord our God is near us whenever we pray to Him.” Deuteronomy 4:7 NIV

God readies us to come before His presence and offer the prayers of our hearts. But, sometimes we don’t know what to say. Overwhelming thoughts hinder us from speaking to the Father. But, if we don’t have words to share, the Holy Spirit works in our behalf.

The Bible says, "And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever". John 14:16 NKJV 

Jesus speaks of the Holy Spirit as a comforter. When we receive the Holy Spirit and “drink” the Word of our faith, God opens our eyes to recognize we’re not alone. He provides perfect peace, so we will understand the power of His love.  

Romans 8:26–27 says, And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.  And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.

What a COMFORT it is to know we are held by the One who knows the plans He has for our days. God has PROMISED to take care of our needs. He will provide prefect peace if we open our hearts, drink in His Word, surrender to Him and faithfully trust He WILL handle ALL things.

God will cradle us in His arms of strength and carefully cover us with the blanket of His love. In quiet moments of opportunity to draw closer to Him, we will begin to realize we are NEVER alone.

Dear God, Hold us in Your love, and fill us with the COMFORT You provide. Help us find perfect peace in the promise of Your faithfulness and power of Your will. We will gratefully love You all the days of our lives and never forget, You are near to us, when we pray to You. Amen
