"Let all that I am praise the LORD; with my whole
heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I
never forget the good things he does for me." Psalm 103:1-2 NLT
Prayers of praise invite the power of Christ to dwell in
our hearts. And, when we seek Him in moments of humbleness, He arms us with
everything we need to be blessed by the Father. He guides us to a place of peace
and shows us how to experience wholeness. And, in gentle moments of truth, we recognize
the gifts of His greatness.
When we make a joyful noise, God sets the stage for peace
to flow where it belongs. He gives strength to remember who handles our days
and shows us how to receive Him. He organizes thoughts and places hope in the
hearts of those who trust in His will. And, He strengthens us.
God is worthy of our praise. He is worthy of our love. But,
the Maker of every living thing often has to wait to hear, “Thank you, God!” We
wake in hurried moments to move ahead and neglect to spend time with the One
who readies us to rise.
If we are lucky enough to open our eyes and welcome the
beginning of a brand new day, we should also open our hearts and welcome the
Father. He is the Provider of everything we need. He will set the stage for what’s
to come. And, if we honor Him with praise, surely He will prepare us to step
ahead and understand how it feels to embrace a grateful heart.
Dear God, Thank you for Your presence in our lives.
Forgive us when we forget to honor You with praise. We will love You with all
of our hearts and embrace the gift of Your faithfulness. And, before we rise,
we will seek You, welcome the blessing of a brand new day and remember to
simply say, “Thank you, Lord…THANK YOU!”
Amen
