And when you stand praying, forgive anyone you have anything against. Then your Father in heaven will forgive your sins. Mark 11: 25-26 NIRV
It’s hard to forgive, when feelings are hurt and pains of the past taunt us. It’s easy to carry a grudge. We often forget what Jesus did for us, when He took our pain and blessed us with forgiveness.
Jesus died and rose
again! Through his death, burial and resurrection, He demonstrated why
we must humble our hearts and forgive others. In painful moments of
suffering, He humbled HIS heart to the will of the Father and paid the
penalty of our sin. He provided the way for us to recognize how to TRUST
in God’s will for our lives.
Jesus knows our hearts. He invites us to have a living relationship with Him and learn how it feels to be led to the Father. He longs for us to experience the love of His faithfulness and recognize how very much we are loved.
If we release anger from our hearts, God will offer us content. He will make room for peace to dwell. But, we must move past the hurt, recognize Christ will help us and humbly prepare our hearts to forgive.
Dear God, Thank you for Jesus! We honor the One who died in our place. Fill us with desire to remember the cross and consider what it means to be held by You. Help us find strength in the power of Your love. Humble our hearts to appreciate the blessing of forgiveness and fill us with desire to love you even more…Amen
