“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you: he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

In the midst of disCOURAGEment, courage stands in the middle. It dwells in the deepest places of our hearts and waits to be nurtured by God. It welcomes the offering of hope, as we begin to understand mercy covers our pain.

Christ lifts us to the One who saves. He helps us recognize why we need the Father and guides us where we feel the healing of His love. He bandages our wounds of weakness and allows peace to flow from a heart of trust. 

Fear will rob us of peace that passes all understanding, if we allow doubt to dwell where it doesn’t belong. But, if we have faith, God will keep us strong and help us find COURAGE in the midst of what we're going through. He will lead us to a prayer of praise when we have been calmed. And, He will always, ALWAYS respond to us; even in our broken hallelujahs. 

Dear God, Thank you for showing us how to stand firm in our faith and learn to be strong and courageous. Forgive us when we forget to trust in You. Help us remember You are handling our days and leading us EVERY step of the way. Amen
