Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1: 16-17 NIV
We’re not always ready for change in our lives. Often, we feel unprepared and threatened by what’s to come. We need to be reminded who’s in charge of ALL things.
The Maker of every living thing takes care of what He has created.
Created things WILL change. But the God who made them will NOT. He
prepares us to handle our days. He works for the good, even when we
can’t see what waits to be discovered. And, His plans are unchanging!
Psalm 33:11 reminds us that God’s plans are firm. His purpose will
ALWAYS be carried out.
Our plans and purpose will change. We will become worried in our wonder. But, God will open our hearts to the Savior. Jesus Christ is the same today and forever…Hebrews 12: 7-8. He will NOT change. We can count on Him to teach us through God’s Word, bring calm to the source of our weakness and lead us to the Father. But, we must surrender doubt, faithfully TRUST and never stop believing He WILL take care of those He loves.
“Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.” ~ Corrie ten Boom
Dear God, Thank you for the power of Your love. You give strength to remember who’s in charge of ALL things. We will put our trust in You and welcome the calm of the Savior, as we wait for what’s to come. And, we WILL praise Your constant presence in our lives. Amen
