Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.1 Thessalonians 5:18 NIV 

As God prepares us for the season to give thanks, He helps us discover the gifts of His greatness. He opens our eyes in truth and shows us the power of Jesus in our lives. He readies us to discover that even in the midst of wonder; there is ALWAYS reason to be thankful for His amazing love. 

Sometimes, it’s hard to embrace a grateful frame of mind, when life takes twists and turns and leads us through difficult days. But, in our confusion and despair, God reminds us to TRUST. He is the constant source of strength which keeps us going…He fills us with HOPE for tomorrow and provides PEACE for today, as we humble our hearts and fix our eyes on Him.

When we hold fast to what is good, it becomes clearer that God is with us. And, as we absorb His WORD, the Spirit of truth fills us with what we need to recognize who’s in charge of our days. 

God will help us develop an attitude of gratitude. In the timing of His will, He will show favor to those who are ready to receive what He will provide. God is great and He is good! He will open our eyes to another day to praise Him. Isn’t that reason enough to give thanks?

Dear God, Thank you for Your presence in our lives. Thank you for mercy and love. You cover us in grace and guide us where we learn to be patient in the timing of Your will. YOU reward us with HOPE, as we humbly trust in You. We will love You with ALL of our hearts and find reason to be thankful. And, we will remember to ALWAYS begin our prayers in praise. Amen
