“Give thanks to the Lord for He is good. His love endures forever.“ Psalm 136:1 NIV

As we prepare for Thanksgiving, often we’re already focused on Christmas. We miss precious opportunities to consider what makes us feel grateful. We neglect to consider how God has blessed our lives and forget to simply say, “Thank-you” for ALL He has done.  

God’s love endures forever! He provides for His children. It would be easy to fill ourselves with worry and want. But, when become too full of ourselves, God doesn’t have room to give us what we need. He loves us! He will help us harvest a spirit of thanksgiving and nurture a prayer of thanks, if we humble our hearts and receive what makes us feel grateful.  

Peace is the reward of our faithfulness. And, when we prayerfully seek God, He will allow us to see how it feels to be full of Him. The world will try and lead us toward difficulty and despair. But, God will remind us where to find content if we are faithful. He will restore us with His love, when we have learned to put our thankful HOPE in Him.  

Dear God, Thank you for the love of Your faithfulness. Humble our hearts to trust in the power of Your will, as You heal our nation and remind us to be thankful for the power of love. Turn our bitter hearts toward You and remind us who is in charge of ALL things. And, help us find perfect peace in the awesome gift of a grateful heart. Amen
