“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
As we prepare to welcome another New Year, we often look at calendars from the past and remember happy days which brought calm and content. Fond memories bring peace to our hearts. But, it’s hard to reflect on days that were difficult. And, it’s hard to comprehend why we’ve struggled in our lives. But, God reminds us who’s in charge of ALL things. He helps us remember we are NOT alone in the journey.
He equips us to handle life events. God prepares us for what’s to come.
The Bible says, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the
past."Isaiah 43:18 NIV He motivates us to move ahead and readies us to
faithfully believe in His promise. He provides EVERYTHING we need to
find HOPE for the future and reminds us who takes care of His children.
Months will pass quickly. God WILL provide in the New Year ahead. He will lift us to His loving arms of strength and carry us EVERY day of our lives. We must remember to TRUST in Him and never forget who plans our days. God WILL fill us with peace that passes all understanding. He is GOD and HE LOVES US.
Dear God, as we consider the events of the past, help us remember we are guided by You. Thank you for handling our lives and giving us HOPE for the future. We will find peace in the promise of Your presence and gratefully embrace what’s to come, as we faithfully TRUST in YOU. Amen
