I can do all this through Him who
gives me strength. Philippians 4: 14 NIV
This has been a year of struggle for
many; a season of challenge, worry and wonder. But, in times of trouble, Jesus
meets us where we are. He patiently waits to prepare us to greet the Father.
And while we’re focused on His love, He asks us to remain for a while.
There’s much to learn while we're held by Jesus. The One who brought light to the darkness also lightens our loads.
The Bible says, Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give
you rest. "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and
humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
In gloomy days of weakness, God
reminds us to wait for better days to come. He hears the prayers of His
children. And, when we are able to clearly see what waits to be discovered, He
allows us to recognize we’re stronger than we think. He shows us how to be
patient and persevere.
Christ leads us to the Father. And,
even when we don’t know what to pray, He knows our prayers of need. He fills
the empty spaces of our hearts and reminds us who’s in charge of ALL things.
In moments to share His strength, He cradles us in care and helps us
remember why we must always TRUST.
We cannot possibly know what the New
Year will bring. But, we can have peace in knowing Christ IS with us. He will
guide and provide all the days of our lives and guide us to the Father. God has
a plan for our days. He will prepare us to handle whatever happens today,
tomorrow and EVERY single day. He will give us STRENGTH when we put our trust
in Him.
Dear God, Thank you for reminding us
Your STRENGTH is made perfect in our weakness. Teach us to trust in You and
never doubt the plans you have for our days. We will faithfully follow Jesus
and open our hearts to the guiding of Your will. And, we will remember to
faithfully TRUST in Your awesome power to save. Amen
