“Be imitators of God, and walk in love.” Ephesians 5:1-2
Often, we forget there are others who need to know God’s love and be reminded they are valued by Him. Ephesians 5:12 speaks to the heart of those who recognize what it means to walk in love, and be imitators of the One who created us to love one another.
God has carefully placed a gift in our hearts. When we are led by His
will, He creates desire for us to find purpose, as we walk with Him. He
prepares us to see others as He sees them and He provides opportunities
to show that we care…
Jesus taught us to love one another. He set an example of how we are to live our lives with a heart of compassion and consider the needs of those around us. He shared love with those who had never been loved and changed the lives of many who found strength through mercy and grace.
Often, we forget there are those who need to know the love of our Savior. We’re quick to judge the heart of others and neglect meaningful moments to discover why they are valued by Him.
How can we be imitators of God? We must first recognize He loves us, because God is love. He has given us a heart to glorify Him as we learn to show love to others. His love is meant to be SHARED. He will show us how to embrace love in our lives, and tenderly pass it on, as we gratefully honor Him.
Dear God, Thank you for Your love. Teach us how to love one another and become imitators of You, as we walk in Your will and share what has already been wonderfully given to us.
