“Though I sit in the darkness, the Lord will be my light.” Micah 7:8

It’s hard to wake in darkness. We miss the sun that welcomes us to rise. But, God lovingly reminds us He is near. He readies us to be armed with everything we need to embrace the day. 

We need time for God to silence distractions and prepare us to receive Him. He arms us with everything we need to wake in His presence and learn how it feels to trust. 

As we leave our cozy place of comfort, we're reminded the sun will shine in God’s time and for His great purpose. He will strengthen our hearts with FAITH to believe in what’s to come, before we choose to rise.

God will fill us with the light of His love. He will open our eyes to see what waits to be discovered, if we remain faithful. He will prepare us for His greatness and help us remember; He will provide everything we need, if we put our hope in Him. 

Dear God, Thank you for quiet time with You. As we sit in the darkness and faithfully wait for the sun to rise, we will welcome Your presence of peace and find purpose in ALL You provide. Arm us with everything we need to remember who’s in charge of our days. And, humble our hearts to recognize Your loving faithfulness EVERY day of our lives. Amen
