And if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.” Isaiah 58:10 

Compassion grows, when we learn to recognize the needs of others. Caring nourishes the soul and allows the love of Christ to be shared. Many need to see the greatness of His love, so they will understand HOPE comes from mercy. They need to see the light of His love when it's allowed to shine. .. 

Christ helps us help others. He prepares us to share what has already been given. He blesses a giving heart and leads us to a place of content. He shows how to examine our lives and reminds us how it feels to be grateful. And, He helps us remember; we will never know the heart of someone's journey, until we appreciate the existence of our own. 

God will take the selfish side of want and transform us. He will guide and provide opportunities to serve Him with a giving heart. He will show us how to satisfy the needs of others. He will bring JOY in our service to Him and fill us with great purpose, when we take time to truly demonstrate that we CARE. 

Dear God, Thank you for reminding us to be concerned about the needs of others. As we learn how to reach out to them, help us show the compassion of Christ. We will serve You with all our hearts, so others will see how much they are loved by YOU. Amen
