“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27

There is a weary place of need in those who long to find rest. It is an empty space that cannot be filled by the offerings of the world. It robs us of the JOY God wants for us to find and allows fear to fester where HOPE will never be found.

Before Jesus died, He told His disciples NOT to be troubled and afraid. He provided PEACE to calm the minds of men and asked that they maintain it, even after He was gone. He told them to find PEACE with one another and discover PEACE with our loving God.

JESUS provides HOPE and COMFORT when we experience life in Him. He continues to provide perfect PEACE today. He helps us connect with the Father and receive the offering of love. And, He reminds us what to expect when we open our hearts to His will.

Jesus is our precious companion! He will guide us by the strength of the Father. He will show us how to find rest and remind us why it comes with submission to God. He will humble us in holiness, pour peace in our hearts and lead us to a prayer of praise when we have tenderly been nurtured by His love. And, He will help us discover why calm will come, when we learn to faithfully TRUST.

 Dear God, Thank you for Your presence in our lives. Forgive us when we forget to trust in YOU. Help us embrace a grateful heart of praise, so we will welcome JOY! We will honor the love of Your faithfulness and allow Christ to cradle us in care. And, we will find calm, as He fills us with Your perfect peace.  Amen
