Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually! 1 Chronicles 16: 11
Before God gives STRENGTH to His people, He prepares us to seek Him with all of our hearts. He longs for us to desire His presence of peace. He humbles us in truth and readies us to receive Him. And, in the timing of His will, He reminds us it’s okay to admit we’re not strong.
Sometimes, we’re not willing to understand our weakness. Fear stands in
the way of recognizing the need for mercy and grace. We forget who
plans the moments of our days. But, God provides STRENGTH when we
faithfully ask Him. He hears the rumbling of our hearts and shows why we
need to be drawn closer to Him.
God will bring peace, when we learn to recognize STRENGTH comes from Him. He knows exactly what we need. We NEED His presence in our lives and we NEED to be reminded who’s in charge of ALL things. We NEED to discover how it feels to remain faithful and we need to embrace the offering of His love.
Isaiah 40: 31 says, “Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar like wings of eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not be faint.” Oh, how we need to be reminded to put our HOPE in God. He will arm us with everything we need to be renewed. And, He will provide the STRENGTH we need to not feel weary.
God is great! He is mighty, awesome and good. Are you in need of strength? Humble your heart and just ask Him! He will provide what You need. He will fill you with peace to welcome the power of His love. But, you must seek Him, surrender your fear and patiently wait to welcome the blessing of a grateful heart.
Dear God, We when are weak, remind us why STRENGTH comes from You. Forgive us when we try to handle life on our own and forget there is healing by Your greatness. Strengthen and help us learn how it feels to trust. We will love You with all of our hearts and patiently wait for the timing of Your will. And, we will feel strengthened when we faithfully welcome the presence of Your perfect peace. Amen
