Your steadfast love, O Lord, is as great as all the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds. Psalm 36: 5
Jesus continued preaching His message to the people, while His death was being planned. He prepared for the separation of those He loved and gave instructions for their final time together. The faithfulness of the Lord was evident, as He prepared to gather His disciples for the Last Supper.
We need to be reminded of
what Jesus experienced in His final days on earth. While plans were
being made to crucify the Son of God, He was sharing God’s love and
speaking about how to honor Him with the love of our trust. In the
shadow of His death, Jesus remained faithful. ..
As we prepare to celebrate our living Lord, we must remain faithful and be grateful for ALL that He has done. God’s will was fulfilled because of Jesus! As we reflect on the love of His faithfulness, God will open our hearts to receive Him. He will help us understand why we should take time to honor the One who died in our place.
Dear God, Thank you for Jesus! As we come before Your presence, guide our thoughts, so we will gratefully remember what Jesus did for us. Humble our hearts with a passion for You and ready us to be good and faithful servants. We will honor the love of Your faithfulness, as we strive to be more like Jesus. And, we will understand the suffering of our risen Lord, as we take time to fellowship with YOU. Amen
