But put God’s kingdom first. Do what He wants you to do.
Then all those things will be given to you. Matthew 6:33
God longs for us to remember that His kingdom provides more
than what our earthly lives have to offer. Jesus leads us to the Father and reminds us to seek Him with all of our
hearts, live in accordance with His plan and share the promise of salvation
with others. He helps us recognize; His love is greater than the riches of
the world.
Sometimes, we have trouble letting go and learning how it
feels to trust. But, God takes care of what we need. He humbles our
hearts and provides the way to examine our lives. And, when we have carefully
considered what is missing, He leads us to the presence of peace and
rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
God is to be honored ABOVE everything else. He is
deserving of our praise! He will guide and provide for our days. And, when we
have learned to love Him above all, He will demonstrate the depth of His
holiness.
If we turn from our selfish ways and put God first, He
will sustain us on earth and prepare us for what’s in store. He will teach us
to trust in His will and patiently wait to be led by His
greatness. “We should let our love for God change the world, but never let the
world change our love for God.”
Dear God, Thank you for helping us examine our hearts. In
quiet moments of surrender, help us draw nearer to You, as we seek the presence
of Your peace and remember why we must always love You more… Amen
