“Be still and know that I am God!”
Psalm 46:10
God speaks and longs for us to take time to
listen. He guides us by His will and knows how to make His presence known. He
quiets distractions that rob us of content and prepares us to welcome the
offering of love.
Sometimes, we become too busy. We don’t take
time to be still. We miss opportunities to commune with God and welcome His
presence of peace. He sets the stage for what’s to come. And, when we earnestly
seek Him, He arms us with everything we need to be led by His strength.
God speaks through the Bible, through others
and through our circumstances. He speaks through the Holy Spirit and allows us
to recognize we are not alone. He helps
us examine our lives. And, He renews us when we respond to the timing of His
will.
When we are silenced by mercy and grace, we
begin to understand why God needs time to humble our hearts and helps us
remember He’s HERE! He will prepare us
to discover what He wants us to know. But first, we must make time to be still
and truly listen. It will make a difference to our loving Father who patiently
waits to be heard.
Dear God, Thank you for Your presence in our
lives. Help us seek You with a listening heart, as You silence the distractions
of the world and ready us to welcome Your amazing grace. Allow us to receive what waits to be discovered,
when we’re silenced by Your mercy and love. Fill us with peace and help us
recognize when You have spoken. You are mighty,
holy and true! We will love You with all of our hearts and never forget why we
need to love You more… Amen
