“The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am
helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.” Psalm
28:7
Joy allows us to experience greatness in our lives. It brings content to
our hearts and pulls us from everyday doldrums in our routines. Joy fills us
with desire to recognize how it feels to be grateful and opens our hearts to
welcome the offering of God’s amazing love.
Every now and then we feel joyful. But, God wants us to ready our hearts to welcome the joy of His strength every day of our lives. He wants to provide us with more than mere morsels of opportunity to recognize when we have been blessed. And, He wants us to know how it feels to welcome the perfect peace of Jesus.
As we learn to trust, God guides and provides what we need. He teaches how it feels to find content in the promise of His greatness. And, He moves us where we witness the power of His mercy and love and learn what is pleasing to Him.
How can God help us, if joy is hidden deep in our doubt and wonder? God WILL help us find what is missing. He will take our burdens and teach us how to welcome His peace. And, when have learned to totally trust, He will open our hearts a little wider. He will prepare us to experience all that He will provide, if we seek Him with all of our hearts and allow Him to show us how it feels to be grateful.

Dear God, Thank you for pouring peace in our hearts when it’s hard to
feel joyful. Open our eyes to see how You handle difficult days of doubt. We
will find strength in the arms of Jesus. And, when we are lifted where hope prevails,
we will find JOY in the promise of Your everlasting love. And, we will feel
very grateful. Amen
