“Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10 NIV
We decorate our homes, shop for gifts and attend holiday events as we prepare for Christmas. But, how do we ready our hearts to receive the Christ Child and embrace the glory of His birth?

It’s easy to be distracted on busy days. We allow holiday stress to
lead us far away from a place of calm. We forget how to welcome the
Savior. We race ahead and focus on things that make us feel anxious,
instead of focusing on the One who came to bring us PEACE.
Christ longs for us to welcome Him with a humbled heart that is pure. He invites us to reflect on the season of hope. He leads us from the hectic pace of our lives and draws us closer than before. In moments of purpose, He shows us how to surrender our worry. He helps us turn our eyes on Him and recognize His presence in our lives.
God will renew us with His Spirit, as we respond to the tugging of our hearts. And, when we have been led where distractions won’t be allowed to steal our joy, He will help us find peace and teach us HOW to gratefully welcome Christmas.
Dear God, Thank you for sending Your Son. Open our hearts to experience this beautiful season. Lead us to the manger, so we will receive Your greatest gift to the world and find PEACE as we welcome our Savior. Amen
