For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:17
Jesus arrived in a filthy stable not fit for a King. He shared space with the animals. Mary brought forth the Son of God in crude surroundings. And, as she welcomed her baby boy, light came to a world of darkness.
God shows
us how to examine our hearts. He opens our eyes to His will and helps us
learn how to trust. He leads us where calm is found and reminds us how
it feels to be humbled in HOPE.
HOPE is something we need! Christ leads us to the Father and helps us feel His presence in our lives. And, when we seek, receive and believe in the power of His greatness, He remains in us.
God longs for us to welcome Jesus and make room for Him to dwell. He is mighty, holy and true. We will never fully comprehend the depth of His love, or know exactly what will happen in our days. But, we can faithfully BELIEVE God will take care of us.
Dear God, Thank you for moments to be led to the manger. Prepare us for this Christmas season. Open our eyes to the power of Your will and help us see Jesus. We are humbled by the power of Your love. Warm us with the light of Your greatness. Guide us on our journeys. Bless us with peace as we make room for Jesus to dwell. And, help us remember how very much we are loved by You. Amen
