As hard as we try, we cannot possibly predict everything that will happen in our lives. We walk familiar paths of purpose and assume we will easily move along. But, often we experience obstacles; bumps in the road that slow us down and stop us where we stand.
Obstacles of circumstance
lead us far away and restrict us from walking ahead. They present
themselves in unpredictable situations. But, God skillfully prepares us
to cope with life's challenging moments. He strengthens our souls and
provides HOPE for what’s to come.
God uses detours to help us recognize we need to change direction. When we’re open to the guiding of His will, He creates desire to follow Him. He readies us to maneuver steps He has paved for the future. And, He leads us to what has been chosen for our lives. He reminds us FAITH welcomes hope to persevere.
God fills us with a longing to TRUST in Him. He is our reassuring GUIDE who leads us through obstacles and moves us in the right direction. He will lead us toward His greatness, but we must be willing to take the very first step and faithfully follow Him.
Dear God, Thank you for leading us ALL the days of our lives. Forgive us when we try to walk the path alone. Help us remember YOU have the power to move obstacles that stand in the way. Open our eyes, so we will clearly see which way to go. And strengthen the heart of our trust, so we will faithfully walk with YOU. Amen
