For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:17
“Oh Come, oh Come Emmanuel” are words we hear at Christmas. They open our hearts to welcome the Savior and remind us to focus on Him. They help us understand the miracle of the manger and prepare our hearts to receive Jesus; God's precious gift.
Jesus arrived in a filthy stable not fit for a King. Mary brought forth
the Son of God in crude surroundings. And, in moments to welcome God's
Son, the world was forever changed! God’s will was fulfilled and Jesus
came to humble us in HOPE and save us of our sin.
Immanuel means God with us! This is the message of Christmas. He is mighty, holy and true! We will never fully understand the depth of His love, or completely know what will happen in our earthly days. But, we can faithfully BELIEVE we are loved and choose to be held by our HOPE in Him EVERY day of our lives.
"Oh come, oh come Immanuel!” There will ALWAYS be room for YOU.
Dear God, Thank you for moments to be led to the manger, where we open our hearts and welcome Jesus. We are humbled by the power of Your love. We will love You with all of our hearts and make room for You to dwell. Bless us in this season of HOPE and guide us where PEACE will flourish in the strength of our faithfulness, as we continue to TRUST in YOU. Amen
