I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them. Isaiah 42:16 NIV
Often, we step ahead on our own. We forget it takes time for God to navigate our lives. We focus on weakness and need to be reminded strength comes when we walk with Christ. He readies us to journey with Him and prepares us to learn how it feels to faithfully follow.
Sometimes, we become blinded and worried about the bumps in the road.
Life becomes difficult and we become confused about which way to go.
But, God reminds us we NEVER walk alone. He guides and provides as we
faithfully follow and learn how it feels to travel with the One who
walks with us.
God will help us handle our lives. He will allow us to recognize the reward of our faithfulness, if we continue to trust and patiently learn how it feels to be led. He will open our eyes and lead us through darkness. And when we discover bumps in the road, the light of His love will give us courage and HOPE to keep on going…
Dear God, As we walk ahead in our lives, show us the path that leads to You. Teach us to trust in the power of Your will and prepare us for what’s to come. We will love You with all of our hearts and find strength as we follow Jesus. Open the eyes of our hearts, so the light of Your love will clearly show us how to welcome Christmas peace. Amen
