You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance. Psalm 65: 11 NIV
As we prepare to throw away old calendars, often we look at scribbled pages of the past. We flip from one month to the next reading notations; remembering the good and the bad. New Year's Eve creates a time of reflection. It stirs emotions as we consider the past and prepare to welcome what’s to come…
God
knows the heart of uncertainty. He reminds us to trust in Him. As we
wake to new beginnings, He helps us remember who’s in charge of ALL
things. He removes the worry of our wonder and helps us recognize who is
handling our days. He shapes our thoughts and arms us with everything
we need to welcome another year.
God equips us to handle life. He reminds us not to worry about the past. The Bible says, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.“ Isaiah 43:18 NIV God knows how to ready us in opportunity to grow. He nurtures the heart of who are becoming and fuels our faith, so we will confidently find purpose and HOPE.
Months will pass quickly. God will provide in the New Year ahead. He will lift us with arms of strength and help us see glimpses of what’s to come. He will carry us EVERY day of our lives. We must TRUST in Him, let go of fear and patiently wait to be readied by His greatness. And we must remember God has a perfect plan.
God will guide and provide for our lives. There will be days of good and some will be difficult. But God will help us remember who handles EVERY single thing. He will remind us what we live will make us stronger, if we choose to trust in the timing of His will.
We must never be afraid to trust a known God to an unknown future.” He is God! He is good! He is FAITHFUL! He is LOVE! The best is yet to come...BELIEVE in the plan He has for our lives. Let’s embrace the New Year with faithfulness and joy. And let us gratefully humble our hearts, so we will experience what God has already planned for us to enjoy. God will ALWAYS work for the good.
Dear God, Thank you for waking us to a New Year. Forgive us when we forget who plans the happenings of our days. Open our eyes to the gifts of Your greatness and help us see glimpses of what’s to come. Bless us with peace, joy, strength and a spirit to embrace more of You and less of us. Help us surrender our fear and remind us how it feels to put our HOPE in You. We will love You with all of our hearts and gratefully trust in what You have planned for our days. Thank you, Lord. Thank you! Fill us with loving praise and help us remember why we will never be without the power of Your everlasting love. Amen
