So we have come to know and to believe the LOVE that God has for us. God is LOVE, and whoever abides in LOVE abides in God, and God abides in him. John 4:16 ESV
God is deserving of ALL of our love. He nurtures our faith and honors the prayers of our praise. When we forget to open our hearts and welcome Him, He reminds us how to love Him even MORE!
God doesn’t love us because
we’re deserving of His love. We are not! We sin and become rebellious.
We miss important opportunities to feel the love of the Father. But He
knows the heart of our need. "He doesn’t just love us. God IS LOVE!”
While we were still sinners, Christ died for each one of us. He demonstrated never ending love with the sacrifice of Jesus.
The Bible says we should love the Lord our God with our heart, soul and might. (Read Deuteronomy 6:5).
God created us to love Him with every part of our being. But often we’re selfish in what we give... We offer only mere morsels of love and become greedy from the selfish side of want.
If God only gets fragments of what He deserves, we won’t be able to COMPLETELY welcome His presence of peace. Our hearts won’t have time to be humbled for Him. We won’t experience how it feels to be deeply loved. And, we won’t have the chance to discover grateful joy.
We must put God first in our lives; love Him with ALL of our hearts and choose to experience goodness and grace. He will guide us in His WORD and help us feel the depth of His holiness. As we learn to recognize how it feels to be held in the glory of good, we will want to love Him even MORE...♥
Dear God, We can never thank You enough for loving us. Forgive us when forget to love You with ALL of our hearts. Thank for you reminding us we are worthy of what You provide. Thank you for Your love. Open our hearts to feel the fruit of Your faithfulness. And, help us remember; the prayers of our praise are for YOU, Lord. Our deepest LOVE will always be for You. Amen
