Don’t worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks for what you have. And because you belong to Christ Jesus, God’s peace will stand guard over all your thoughts and feelings. His peace can do this far better than our human minds. Philippians 4:6-7 ERV
Christ meets us where we are. He extends His mighty arms and reaches out to pull us nearer to Him. But sometimes we make Him reach too far. We don’t take time to be held in His holiness and forget to prayerfully seek Him. We forget how to be led from the worries of our wonder.
Jesus lifts us from our fear! He allows us to experience how it feels
to be cradled in care. He leads us to the cross when we need to be
reminded of what has been done for each one of us. And in moments to
humbly consider His sacrifice, we begin to realize He knows the heart of
our pain.
The One who died in our place knows our every thought. He knows how to lead us to the Father. He reminds us why God’s will was fulfilled. He covers us with mercy and bandages wounds with His grace. And as we lay our love at the cross, He reminds us; HOPE came when He took the nails for our sins.
Jesus is the way to the Father. He nurtures our trust and reminds us who is working in our days. He prepares us to prayerfully welcome His presence and readies us to surrender our shame. He cradles us in care and takes away our fear. He sets the stage for blessings to come and helps us learn to be grateful. He reminds us to trust in what’s been planned for our lives. He helps us persevere.
There will never be a day without the Father. His love is everlasting! When we have had a chance to embrace the gifts He provides, He will fill us with His strength. God will help us remember why we must be faithful. He will transform us. We will witness His rewards when we surrender our worry and allow peace to set the stage for good to come.
Let’s sit with Christ and invite the calming of His love to guide us by His greatness. He will fill us full of everything we need to face this day and EVERY day to come. We will experience PEACE that passes all understanding, if we allow ourselves to be led to a prayer of thankful praise. God will not allow us to forget what lovingly nurtures a grateful heart.
Dear God, Thank you for moments to be lifted by Jesus! Oh, how we need to TRUST in the power of Your love. As we welcome the presence of Your STRENGTH, we will remain faithful and put our HOPE in You. The world will never provide what we need. We are so thankful You know our hearts. You Lord, will ALWAYS take care of us and those we love. Thank you, Lord. Thank you! Amen
