For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. John 3:17 NIV
Jesus is our precious companion. The blood of His love poured strength in the heart of ALL weakness, when He died on the cross and took the sins of the world. It’s humbling to consider the One without sin suffered to take our own.
Many
continue to turn away from the One who died in our place. But, His love
for us endures. He continues to plant seeds of faithfulness and lovingly
waits for us to choose whether or not we will grow in His greatness.
God sent Jesus to teach the truth. He taught about heaven and how to bring peace to the world. He provided hope for everlasting life and taught us how to discover abundant JOY. He showed how to do God’s will in difficult circumstances.
He was mistreated, mocked, hated and abused. But He never stopped showing love. We will never have a better example of love than Jesus. He humbly obeyed His Father and was the only One without sin.
We will all fall short of the glory of God. But if we humbly invite Jesus to dwell in our hearts, we will begin to understand why He is the way, the truth and the light. And He is the only way to the Father.
Dear God, Thank you for moments to welcome Jesus and feel His tender love. Forgive us when we sin and forget what He taught us to remember. We will take time to reflect on the cross and consider, “It wasn’t the nails which held Him there. It was His love for every one of us.” Amen
