"Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth." Colossians 3:2 NIV

God created us for His great purpose. He knows how to handle our days. He guides and provides as He molds the heart of our faithfulness. He longs for us to recognize who is Lord of our lives.

When we focus on other things, we begin to realize why earthly rewards are fleeting. They will NEVER make us completely happy. We will not experience the type of JOY God wants us to discover. We will always be left wanting more... Our hearts won’t have a chance to be filled by Christ and empty spaces of doubt will NEVER welcome perfect PEACE.

God wants us to focus on Him and surrender the selfish side of want. He longs for us to trust in the presence of His greatness and find strength to remember who’s in charge of ALL things. He has plans for our days and knows how to ready us to receive His gifts and blessings.

The Bible says, “Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” Proverbs 16:3 How good it is to know God has a plan for our lives. When we choose to draw nearer to the His love, He lifts us where we see glimpses of what’s ahead. He opens our eyes in truth and reminds us why WE NEED HIM!

“What consumes our minds will control our lives.” We will never find fullness on our own. God wants to totally take charge! Only He can save us from the things we’ve been chasing. Only He can fill the empty spaces with everything we need to find fulfillment in our lives.

What is consuming you today? Whatever it is, God knows how to remove it. He knows how to make you faithfully full. He has the power to restore and make us whole. We must seek Him with all of our hearts, turn from our selfish ways, trust in the power of His plan and gratefully wait to be blessed. There will never be a day without the power of His love. He will continue to do His good work. Life will be so much easier if we remain faithful and choose to TOTALLY TRUST.

Dear God, thank you for the power of Your love! Thank you for Jesus. Forgive us when we try to fill the empty spaces of our hearts with things that will never allow us to experience Your JOY. We will surrender to You and patiently wait to find STRENGTH in what You provide. And as You make room for PEACE to dwell, we will find HOPE in the plans You have for our days. We will choose to set our minds on You. Thank you, Lord. Thank you!
