“Be imitators of God, and walk in love.” Ephesians 5:1-2 ♥

There are many scriptures written about love. Ephesians 5:1-2 speaks to the heart of those who learn to walk in love and imitate the One who created us to love one another.

God loved us enough to sacrifice His Son. He demonstrated LOVE when Jesus left the comfort of heaven and suffered tremendous pain. He died for each one of us. God sent Him to take the sins of the world and provide eternal life for those who believe, LOVE and trust.

Jesus taught how to faithfully LOVE. He set an example of how we are to live our lives with a heart of compassion and concern for those around us. He shared LOVE with those not loved by others and mended wounded souls. He continues to restore us. And He knows how to help us learn to LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

How can we be imitators of God? We must first recognize He loves us, because God is LOVE! We have been given a heart to glorify Him and share His LOVE with others. He will show how to embrace the gifts of His greatness and help others recognize why they are valued. We will be blessed if we choose to walk in the footsteps of LOVE and never be ashamed to share it.

Dear God, You arm us with everything we need to share what is faithfully given. Help us recognize the needs of others and learn to show compassion, kindness and LOVE. Humble our hearts to remember everyone is deserving of grace. As we LOVE one another, we will be remember how very much we are loved by YOU. Thank you, Lord. Thank you! Amen
