Even to your old age and gray hairs I am He, I am He who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you. Isaiah 46: 4 NIV
Sometimes we forget the Father of mercy is closer than we think. We forget who provides strength to sustain. But God helps us witness the love of Jesus and have a relationship with Him. The One who knows what we need provides strength for our days and helps us remember to call on Him.
With arms open wide, Jesus tries to reach us. He stretches as far as He can and longs for us to feel the love of His faithfulness. He opens the eyes of our hearts, so we will recognize why we need Him. And He reminds us to hold on tight.
As we’re connected to the One who saves, we begin to understand the power of His strength. Christ helps us discover His holiness. And when we stop making Him reach so far, we feel His presence of peace and find comfort as we're cradled in His care.
Jesus wants to fill us with His love. So why do we waste time worrying? The Bible says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4: 6-7
God will open our hearts for Jesus. There IS power in the mention of His name. If we seek Him and pray for His comfort, He will hear us! He will pull us from the worry of doubt and lift us where HOPE is found. He will provide glimpses of what’s to come and lead us to the Father.
God will make sure we are carried EVERY single day. He will give us strength. We must humbly welcome Jesus and allow Him to bless our lives. God knows what He's doing! We must seek Him with all of our hearts, trust in Him, remain faithful and simply hold on tight.
Dear God, thank you for opening our eyes to the blessing of this day. Forgive us when we try to handle life on our own. Renew our hearts and help us learn to trust. We will lift our hands to the One who saves and humble our hearts for Jesus. We will be reminded how much we are loved, when He helps us discover how it feels to be held in the arms of His love. Thank you, Lord. You bring peace to our souls while we're cradled in Your care. We love You so very, very much. Amen
