He says, “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be honored among the nations. I will be honored in the earth.” Psalm 46:10 NIRV
God patiently waits for us to seek Him and welcome His presence. He reminds us to slow down and be still. He pulls us from the worry in our lives and holds us for a while. And when we are ready to rest, He brings peace in His presence.
Sometimes, we don't allow ourselves to experience the silence of surrender. We become overwhelmed by hectic routines. Loudness covers calm and we need to be reminded who’s in charge of all things. We forget how to witness the power of God’s amazing love.
Quiet time welcomes prayer. As we commune with the Father, He sets the stage for what’s to come. He arms us with everything we need to find strength and hope from a heart of our trust.
As peace is requested, God will provide. He will help us examine our lives and release the worry of wonder. He will open our eyes to His will and help us remember we will never have to live without Him.
God will place joy in our hearts as we remain in His presence. He will reward us with the calming of His love. We must be patient, quiet and still. And we must always remember God WILL take care of those He loves.
“Do not be afraid of silence in your prayer time. It might be that you are meant to listen, not to speak.”
Dear God, thank you for allowing us to rest in Your presence. Forgive us when we allow distractions to lead us far away. Open our hearts, so we will be still and remember how much we are loved. Thank you for letting us sit in the arms of Your peace. Renew us with the love of Your faithfulness and arm us with everything we need to find strength. You provide what we need EVERY day and we are grateful! Thank you, Lord. Thank you for being in control of our lives. Amen
